Resize a Signature Image to 10 KB or 20 KB

SSC, UPSC, banking exams, and licence portals ask for two uploads: a photo and a signature image, each with its own tiny size cap, commonly 10 to 20 KB for signatures. A phone photo of your signature is hundreds of times over the limit, and most compressors either overshoot the cap or blur the ink.

How to do it here

Sign in black ink on plain white paper and photograph it from directly above in good light. Upload it to our tool, choose the custom size option, and enter a wide, short shape, for example 60 mm wide and 20 mm tall, to match the signature's proportions; ignore the head guides, they are for faces. Crop to the signature, then open the digital file options and enter the pixel width and KB cap from your portal. The tool compresses in small steps to land just under the limit with the ink still crisp.

Common signature upload limits

SSC / UPSC: signature 10 to 20 KB, photo 20 to 50 KB
IBPS and bank exams: signature 10 to 20 KB, often 140 × 60 px
Sarathi driving licence: signature 10 to 20 KB
Always check the exact numbers on your portal; they change between recruitment cycles

Why signatures get rejected

Blue ink on colored paper, shadows across the page, signatures photographed at an angle, and files that are the right KB but the wrong pixel dimensions. Shoot flat, in daylight, in black ink, and let the tool handle the numbers.
