Pilgrimage applications are stressful enough without a rejected photo. Saudi visa photos use the square 2 by 2 inch format on a plain white background, with the face fully visible from hairline to chin. Head coverings for religious reasons are permitted, but the full face must show without shadows, and sunglasses are not allowed.

The requirements

Size: 2 × 2 in (51 × 51 mm), head 25 to 35 mm

Background: plain white, no shadows or patterns

Face: straight to camera, neutral expression, fully visible; hijab is fine if the face shows completely

Digital uploads: portals such as Nusuk enforce their own pixel and file size limits; check your application page and enter them in our digital file options

How to make one
